About

Dr. Andrew Murphy is a psychiatrist who offers compassionate, personalized care for people facing challenges with mood, anxiety, and life transitions. He specializes in both psychotherapy and medication management, and works closely with each individual to understand their unique experiences and goals.
Dr. Murphy completed both his MD and PhD at the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied how the brain’s wiring may relate to how we think, feel, and behave. He completed his psychiatry residency at Columbia University and continues to do research at Columbia on new treatments for depression and other mental health conditions.
He has received several national awards for his clinical and research work, and brings this deep knowledge to his everyday care.
